20 to 80 years old Wild ginseng and my own story.

-Tshering Tenjing Sherpa

It is a well known fact that Sherpas are a mountaineering race in the world. The honest and uneducated Sherpas have been living only in the mountainous region of Nepal. Lately, due to various reasons, Sherpas seem to be moving elsewhere day by day.

We Sherpas lived in high mountainous areas, had little farming and were far from the state, so we had no right to government service. When I was go to schoo, I used to cook and eat by myself in the neighboring district of Khotang, which is a four-hour walk from the age of 10. I used to cook the flour that my mother sent me.

There was no firewood in the stove. As a kid, I used to play a lot, and many times I went to school hungry. Where the castes of Newar and other communities were predominant. I was the only Sherpa student, they hated me very much. I was ridiculed by everyone in the class, I couldn't speak, because they beat me so many times in class.

I was alone. I endured silently. Thus I barely spent five years in that place. Mentally and socially, I felt very weak. By the time I reached the age of fifteen. In Nepal, there is still a difference between the rich and the poor. Their community was bad and still hasn't improved.

Around the year 2000, there was a great conflict in Nepal. The government and the rebel Communist Party of the Maoists. Usually I used to work as a guide for a foreign tourist from time to time. But because of the conflict, my work was not guaranteed. As my home was lonely in the village and close to the forest, it was easy for the rebel Maoists to take refuge. My family was on both sides of the pressure

of the state and the rebel Maoists. The Maoist guerrillas often came to our house for food and shelter, while the army patrolled in our guerrilla style. Once there was a double confrontation. We had to live with extreme fear. Once, the army found the Maoists' hidden belongings and took me to the middle of the village. The army ready to shoot me. But luckily I was survived. Nobody knew what would happen from then on. After not being able to live in the village like this, we all went to the capital Kathmandu with a family of three sons, wife and mother and father. Where only a few were safe. But even there, there was not much work. I used to be a guide for ordinary foreigners and I used the money from that to support my family.

At that time, there was a war between Iraq and Kuwait, due to which the plans of my guests coming to Nepal from Europe were canceled one by one and I lost a lot.

While living in Kathmandu, I found that some of Nepal's politics have changed. I watched closely the rights of the people, the neglect of the state, the oppression of our religion and culture. There were movements during this time. I used to write some reports for the rights of my race and religion. While I was not a journalist, but I had to write news for community. Because in our caste, there were very few people who used pens and they did not write even if they wanted to. Because in the society, I was a person who was a little educated and very much oppressed by others. So I fell for one sided. At that time a new constitution was being drafted in Nepal. To ensure the rights of all. He remembered the oppression he suffered from the state and other castes. Within our caste, there was a lot of news about religion, culture, rituals and festivals, but there was no publicity from the media under the state and the Aryans races. Later, when the Internet became available in the country, I used to share all these things with my people all over the world through the web site www.sherpaworld.com . My web site became very popular in our community, everyone could read the news. The  used to call me to work for the different organization and carry a camera. But no one helped me financially. I was forced to go to the place where I was called to collect news, so I would have lost all my work at home. In this way, I served the society for about 12 years and some changes have taken place in the society.

My website suddenly shut down because I didn't renew. I didn't have the money to renew the domain and the data started growing day and night and I didn't have the money to buy space even in dollars. Now all my popular sites are closed. It is still closed. I still wanted to activate it. After not paying, the web designer hid all the data of the site that I had worked hard for 14 years. Because in the society, I was a person who was a little educated and very much oppressed by others. So I got involved in social work. At that time a new constitution was being drafted in Nepal.

To ensure the rights of all. This is how I spent my important days for social service while earning money as I got older. However, I am very happy with my contribution for social change.

Physically, even though I was in the city for some time, my mind was on my village day and night. Where I spent my childhood and saw the sufferings of my father and mother up close. I didn't even want to go abroad. How can I do something in the village where my parents shed blood when the children grow up. When I found out, my house was in the forest. There was no facility. . The fear of wild animals was the same. We used to carry drinking water on foot for two hours. When there was no land to cultivate, my father and mother used to make a place to cultivate by clearing the forest. They worked in the forest until midnight. The animals were raised. There was a lot of pain. There was a lot of snow in winter We didn't have shoes. Even the clothes were very old and torn.

The people of our village did not understand. All uneducated. Drinking alcohol was just a fight. How to change society was for me. Although there were beautiful places to visit in our village, foreigners did not come at all. It may be remote and it may be due to lack of service facilities and language. After looking at other people's places, I wondered how our place could be made a tourist area and how to attract tourists.

During the ten-year civil war in the country, people were not able to live in the village due to double hardship. The number of people entering the capital Kathmandu from the village started increasing day and night and the village was almost empty. In this process, the people of the village in Kathmandu suffered a lot. It was scattered everywhere. It was difficult to get involved if something happened suddenly.

Realizing that there were many problems in his community, he started an organization called Dharma Danda Sherpa Samaj(Dharma Peak Sherpa Community) in 2009 under my leadership. I was the founding president of it. This organization made great progress in a short time. All my members were honest and hardworking.

In our community, if someone dies, if we have to get married, whatever the joys and sorrows, the organization is always in the forefront. Because of which the people of the village were all the same and still are. At the initiative of this organization, electricity has been restored in the village, school building has been made new, village road has been reached, tourism infrastructures are being fixed and a lot of social work is being done at present.

Recently, due to the great earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015 and unemployment in Kathmandu, all of us families returned to the village. My father had passed away in Kathmandu and my family of eight, including my mother and my two daughters born in Kathmandu, moved to all the villages. After coming home, my other daughter was born.

I knew why my father and mother kept the house and land they had built with so much grief. My father used to bring various herbs from the forest of near by and heal us when we got sick or injured when we were young. From that time onwards, I knew a lot about herbs. After coming home, I started this business with a great purpose and plan that kiwi can be grown and herbs can be grown here. In the past, many important and valuable herbs have been found here, but the herbal smugglers have been working day and night and all of them have become like nothing. I was very sad to see all this and with all this we have collected seeds and plants and planted them in our farm. Later, by registering with the government office, I am currently cultivating these valuable herbs.

High Prices wild ginseng age 20-80 years from Nepal

I have given shelter to one or two families who did not get food during this Corona epidemic. Having three children, they work on the farm just to survive. So far there is no support from the government or any union. The herbs produced on our farm during the present Corona are very useful. Due to the difficult paperwork of the Government of Nepal, our products have not been able to find a market. Just limited to gifts. Ginseng, a valuable herb, is now very popular in developed countries, but people here have only recently come to know about it. We have recently found many kinds of ginseng while searching for the love of life in the mountains. I have even met him who has reached the age of 80 from June 20. Searching on the internet is an amazing value. What we have but how to get there?

If it were successful, it would be a wonderful miracle in my life as well as a great help in the mass production and protection. Foreign organizations often come to the village to build school buildings where there are no students, but no one pays much attention to the production and protection of herbs, which are considered very important at present. Don't do anything to the government of Nepal. They are only interested in saving their seats.

Come on Shake hands You are moving towards production as well as conservation. My farm may be the first to find wild ginseng in Nepal.

In order to fulfill my goal, I have given direct employment to six people who have been unemployed and have not been able to get food from the daily corona out of the twenty thousand $ 20,000.00 that I have pledged with the Krishi Bikas Bank of the Government of Nepal.

If my products do not reach the customers, I will be in a serious crisis. At present my money is being spent on them for about $35 to $ 45 daily. When will I raise all these issues?

If any reluctant, compassionate donors and organizations would like to donate some money voluntarily to make this project, which carries my great idea and purpose, more successful, please donate to this bank account. With your help and support, botanical gardens, organic home stays can be built here in the future to attract tourists and organic agriculture and tourism can be developed by providing employment to the unemployed.

Thank You very much.
